FR8000M Flame Retarding Masterbatch for PP

 

DESCRIPTION

FR8000M is a newly developed highly effective reaction-type P, N, Br composite flame retarding masterbatch, which is designed to be used in copolymerized Polypropylene (COPP).

 

Compared to the traditional Bromine based flame retardants (Decabromodiphenyl Ether, Tetrabromobisphenol A, Tetrabromobisphenol A bis(2,3-Dibromopropyl ether), TBC etc.) , FR8000M has a lower required addition quantity, which allows higher filler addition quantity and consequently is more economically effective. In addition, FR8000M does not need Antimony Trioxide as synergizing agent in the modification formulation, while keeping the Bromine content at a very low level (near halogen free in the modified polypropylene). Furthermore, FR8000M is nontoxic, nonreactive to colorant and other addictives, and has a good processing thermal stability and good resistance to water and light. Lastly, modified polypropylene with FR8000M shows no sign of surface precipitation in prolonged time.

 

FR8000M can be used with COPP directly for injection molding, extrusion molding and other molding processing.

FEATURES

 

Apply 8% to 10% FR8000M by weight to COPP with no filler and 12% or above 12% FR8000M by weight to COPP with 10% to 20% of filler. Addition of Barium Sulfate or Talcum Powder as filler is allowed.

 

 

Unlike many other flame retardants sold in today's market, the flame retarding performance of FR8000M is immune to black masterbatch. In addition, FR8000M is nonreactive to UV stabilizer and antioxidant, which keeps the performances of UV stabilizer and antioxidant intact.

 

 

In addition to COPP, FR8000M can also be applied to COPP/POE composite (POE from Mitsui Chemicals) and COPP/Barium Sulfate composite.

 

NOTES

 

Please use EBS as lubricant in a production formulation. Avoid using PE wax, Zinc Stearate, Calcium Stearate and Stearic Acid as lubricant otherwise foaming may take place on product surface.

 

 

FR8000M is not allowed to be used with DBDPO, BDDP or other Bromine based flame retardants. Otherwise, color of product may turn dull and grey.

 

PACKAGING & SHIPPING

25 kilograms net weight per plastic woven bag. Ship and store as non-toxic and non-dangerous goods. Keep out of water and damp.
