AT200 Solvent Resistance Modifier for PC and PC/ABS

DESCRIPTION
Polycarbonate (PC) and its alloy (PC/ABS) have the virtues of high impact strength, high electrical resistivity and high heat distortion temperature. And for these reasons, they are widely used in the electronic, electric appliances, automobile and office equipments industries.
 
However, PC and PC/ABS have the weaknesses of high melting viscosity, poor resistance to stress cracking and weak resistance to chemicals. Therefore, PC and PC/ABS's uses are restricted, especially so for recycled PC and PC/ABS. Recycled PC and PC/ABS's molecular weights are usually lower and their molecular weight distributions are wider, thus, they are more prone to stress cracking, which is usually caused by the existence of small amount of water, pigments, impurity or chemical solvents.
 
In view of these problems, our research team developed AP200, an elastomer with multiple functional groups designed to improve PC's and PC/ABS's resistances to chemicals. With 4% of AT200, PC's and PC/ABS's resistances to chemicals, toughness and melting fluidity are greatly improved, thus they are more resistant to stress cracking.

FEATURES
Excellent compatibility with PC, PC/ABS, PBT and PET.
 
Significantly improve PC's and PC/ABS's resistance to glacial acetic acid and carbon tetrachloride; Extend PC's and PC/ABS's soak time in glacial acetic acid and carbon tetrachloride up to 10 times (modified PC and PC/ABS don't crack in first hour of soaking).
 
Significant toughness strengthening effect on PC and PC/ABS; Improvement of PC's and PC/ABS's impact strength with 3% AT200 is the same as that with 3% MBS (from Rohn and Hass).
 
The relatively large molecular weight of AP200 and the existence of some special functional groups help increase the viscosity of recycled PC and PC/ABS.

25 kilograms net weight per plastic woven bag. Ship and store as non-toxic and non-dangerous goods. Keep out of water and damp.
